Thank you in advance for your patience and diligence on this issue.
It has been dragging me down whenever I have free time, and I get the chance to be at the computer, and I can't enjoy this amazing game as I would very much desire to. stopping all services, except the Microsoft ones meddling with properties of eu4.exe (specially the full-screen optimization) ġ1. running eu4.exe directly with and without admin rights ġ0. verified integrity of the game on Steam ĩ. I don't have third-party AV programs running on my system ĥ. deleting everything pertaining to EU4 in my system Ĥ. I will attach the files for your analysis on this post - if you would be so kind to assist me on this endeavour.Īnd now, allow me to tell you what I have tried:ģ. I am running on a i7 core, with 16 gb's RAM.
Basically, when I go into Steam, and click on EU4, the launcher opens up - I notice a screen that goes on to the loading of EU4, but then it automatically crashes on me - sometimes it keeps playing its loading song other times it simply presents to me a crash report to send to Paradox - which I did for three times now - without any further feedback or notice.
Only after the update to 1.29 it stopped working for me. I have always played EU4 without any issues at all. I have done everything I can think of - as well as that gentleman - but it doesn't make any sense to me that with a rather recent computer (two months old) I should be re-installing Windows or remastering a computer, because of this. not to think about all the money I have spent on this game - that I can't play as it should (quite honestly, I don't want to go back to 1.28 on a definitive basis - I only agree to it on a workaround/ temporary solution to sate my desire to play this game).
but our efforts went to nothing in the end.Īnd allow me to be quite honest with you that I am quite frustrated with this - Europa Universalis is the only game I play on this computer whenever I have the time to do it. What I did to allow me to keep open my EVGA Precision X 4.2.1 for the other benefits is went into RivaTuner Statistics Server and turned 'Application Detection Level' to 'None' which prevents it from hooking into the renderer. At the end of it, the gentleman who tried to assist me, simply said that I would probably be in for a Windows re-installation/ reset - with which I don't agree at all. The issue is specifically when it hooks into the renderer to detect framerate and frametime information. I have previously opened up a ticket with the technical support (its ID is #172348).
